E-Learning Course Grading Policy
Defines how trainee grades are calculated for activities and tasks within e-learning courses under both synchronous and asynchronous modes.
Objective
To define the grading policy for e-learning courses delivered in synchronous and asynchronous modes, and to clarify how trainee activity and task grades are calculated.
Scope
This policy applies to training programs and courses delivered in synchronous or asynchronous e-learning mode with a duration exceeding one month.
Policy Points
- The trainer is required to explain the grading mechanism to trainees at the start of the program.
- The trainer is required to provide a Rubric assessment tool for projects and activities.
- The trainer must align performance criteria with expected learning outcomes.
- A total of 100 marks is allocated per trainee, distributed according to the training mode.

Deprivation Policy — Synchronous Mode Only
First Warning
The trainee is notified of the first warning upon reaching 10% absence.
Second Warning
The trainee is notified of the second warning upon reaching 20% absence.
Deprivation
The trainee is barred from the certificate and excluded from the course without a refund.
Note: The deprivation policy does not apply to the asynchronous mode, as attendance is not mandatory in that mode.
